Privacy Policy

Account data. When you sign up, our authentication provider, Clerk, collects your name, email address, and login credentials (or social login identifiers).

Content you enter. Recipes, ingredients and their prices, orders, invoices, and any customer details (such as names or delivery notes) you add for your own business.

Receipt images. If you use the AI ingredient import feature, the receipt photos or files you upload are stored and sent to our AI provider to extract ingredient data.

Billing data. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment provider, LemonSqueezy, collects your payment details directly — we don't see or store your full card number.

Usage data. We use Google Analytics to collect basic, aggregated usage data (such as pages visited and general device/browser information) to understand how the Service is used.

• To provide and operate the Service (calculations, invoices, order tracking);
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure;
• To process payments and manage subscriptions;
• To run the AI ingredient import feature when you choose to use it;
• To understand aggregate usage and improve the Service;
• To respond to support requests you send us.

We don't sell your personal data.

We share data only with the service providers needed to run SweetMargins, each of which processes data under its own privacy terms:

• Clerk — account authentication;
• Vercel — application hosting and file storage (e.g. receipt images, uploaded logos);
• Supabase / PostgreSQL — our database, where your recipes, orders, and account data are stored;
• Google Gemini (via Vercel AI Gateway) — processes receipt images you choose to upload for AI ingredient import;
• LemonSqueezy — payment processing for paid subscriptions;
• Google Analytics — aggregated usage analytics.

We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of SweetMargins or its users.

We use cookies required for authentication (set by Clerk) and, if you haven't opted out, cookies set by Google Analytics for usage measurement.

We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we'll delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we need to retain records for legal, billing, or fraud- prevention purposes.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. You can manage most of your own content directly in the app, or contact us at it.dodogeny@gmail.com for account deletion or data requests.

We rely on our providers' security controls (encryption in transit, access controls, etc.) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Our service providers may process and store data in countries other than your own, including the United States and the European Union. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer and processing.

The Service isn't directed to children under 18, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
